The 35th annual Holiday Food and Gift Festival at MetraPark has been canceled, organizers said Monday.

Organizers cited restrictions put in place by RiverStone Health, which extended its order limiting gatherings to under 25 people through Dec. 9 to limit the spread of COVID-19.

The event was scheduled for this weekend, Nov. 14 and 15.

Here's the full news release from organizers:

Due to the restrictions put into place by the Yellowstone County Health Department the 35th Annual Holiday Food and Gift Festival has been canceled. The region’s largest shopping event of the season was scheduled to take place, Saturday, November 14th and Sunday, November 15th at the MetraPark Expo Center.

Every year over 200 vendors showcase their marvelous wares with metal art, woodwork, photography, pottery, handmade toys, jewelry, artwork, specialty foods and much more. These vendors need your support this year. For many, selling their goods at events is their livelihood and most vendor shows have been canceled since mid-March. You can still find just the right gift for everyone on your shopping list by finding these vendors online. Visit www.holidayfoodandgiftfestival.com for a full list of vendors that would have been at the festival this year. Some of them have storefronts that are still open, and they need your support too! If you need help getting in contact with a vendor please call Amanda at 406-861-3931 or email pillareventservices@gmail.com. Please support our vendors this holiday season!

Over the last few years, we have also been able to donate at least 12 pallets of food to the Billings Food Bank that we will not be able to collect this year. Please be sure to remember them with a monetary donation or just drop off your food donations at: 2112 4th Ave. N., Billings, MT 59101. The Holiday Food and Gift Festival is scheduled to return in 2021 on November 13th and 14th at the MetraPark Expo Center along with photos with Santa and local entertainment. Be sure to follow the Holiday Food and Gift Festival on Facebook for contests and updates.
