The 100 plus beer gardens and restaurants opening in County Durham and Darlington TODAY

TODAY is the day thousands of boozers, restaurants and bars will reopen after more than three months of closure.

From today, hospitality venues will be allowed to throw open their beer gardens and outdoor spaces to serve food and drink outdoors.

In the North-East, more than 100 venues have already confirmed that they are taking part and opening up today.

So we've been putting together a list of all the venues across County Durham and Darlington doing just that.

Some of these venues have been listed by Durham's Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), which has also been asking publicans whether they are reopening.

Although we've listed the businesses that are opening, it's worth remembering that some may require you to book ahead - we advise contacting each one for more information.

See who's opening from today...

If you're planning to reopen in County Durham or Darlington and are not on this list - email jim.scott@newsquest.co.uk to be added!
