BIRMINGHAM, AL — A new pizza restaurant will open Wednesday on Montclair Road in the Eastwood neighborhood. Hungry Howie's, a pizza and sandwich chain based in Michigan, will open at 1676 Montclair Rd.
The new Hungry Howie's is operated by Falgun Patel, who has a background in business administration from Bevill State Community College and experience operating gas stations and multiple convenience stores with his family.
"It's exciting to start my franchising journey with Hungry Howie's," Patel said. "Everyone loves pizza, but Hungry Howie's concept takes their products to the next level with high-quality Flavored Crust pizzas with a side of excellent customer service. As a longtime resident in Alabama, I look forward to creating a strong fan base and becoming involved within my community."
To support Hungry Howie's commitment to giving back to local communities, the location is donating 10 percent of sales on Wednesday to Avondale Elementary School and 10 percent of sales on Thursday to Henry J. Oliver Elementary School.
