The Shedd Aquarium penguins had a busy 2020, from museum field trips, a birthday party to cheering on the Chicago Bears. They welcomed 2021 by playing in the snow, and now, they are celebrating Chicago Restaurant Week.

The curious birds traveled to Shaw’s Crab House to take in the sights and most notably, the delicious fishy smells, in a new video.

This year’s Chicago Restaurant Week runs March 19 through April 4, with a few alterations due to coronavirus restrictions and safety precautions. Diners can still enjoy special prix fixe menus at participating restaurants around the city but with the option to eat outdoors, pick up orders or have their food delivered.

Shaw’s Crab House and all of the Lettuce Entertain You restaurants have signed up to support the Shedd Aquarium’s new “Let’s Shedd Plastic” program designed to help restaurants reduce their plastic footprint. Vice President and Executive Partner of Shaw’s Crab House Bill Nevruz said the restaurant has chosen to help where they can by getting rid of straws and plastic stir sticks.
