MORRISTOWN, NJ (Morris County) – The Rotary Club of Morristown is working with seven partner restaurants in Morristown to provide 24,000 meals to those in need over the next three months, thanks to a grant from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority’s new “Sustain and Serve Program.”

“Operation Hunger 3.0” buys set-priced meals from local restaurants for distribution to Homeless Solutions, Table of Hope, Nourish NJ, the Morristown and Morris County Housing Authority seniors.

“We’re happy to commence another round of Operation Hunger, thanks to the generous grant from the NJEDA. There is a lot of effort and coordination that goes into a program of this scale,” according to Nick Walsh, Operation Hunger program manager. The club spearheaded a similar effort last spring with the same seven restaurants, seeking to stem the rise of food insecurity in Morris County.

Morristown restaurant partners are:

Fig & Lily Garden – 2 Cattano Ave.

Greenpoint Juicery – 28 Speedwell Ave.

Pascarella Brothers – 61 South St.

Chef Fredy’s Table – 78 Speedwell Ave.
