Hawaii's restaurant and bar owners could be getting more financial relief soon through a new $29 billion federal grant program.

Applications for the 'Restaurant Revitalization Program' open Monday through the US Small Business Administration.

Victor Lim with the Hawaii Restaurant Association says people who apply need to show proof of their loss of income in 2020.

He expects the program to be very competitive nationwide saying, some applicants could get higher priority than others.
