A Birmingham restaurant is offering a free dining experience to thank the "unsung superstars" who have helped others through the pandemic.
Award-winning Thai restaurant Zen Metro is offering 10 community heroes and their guests the chance to enjoy a three-course Bottomless Brunch, with wine or prosecco.
The Cornwall Street eatery is reopening its doors on Monday, May 17 - in line with the lifting of indoor hospitality restrictions and the special ‘thank you’ event will take place in June.
Brummies can nominate a lockdown hero - who they think deserves a treat - by submitting a form on the Zen Metro website.
Previously the Metro Bar and Grill, the venue has been a longstanding fixture of the Birmingham food and drink scene.
In 2016 reopened as Thai restaurant Zen Metro to huge foodie acclaim.
Jaimon George, managing director, said: “As we emerge out of lockdown and open our doors again to our wonderful customers, we wanted to do something special for those who have done special things for others.
"Of course, this means the people working on the NHS's front line, but it also means plenty of others.

“Maybe they don’t think they’re special at all and consider they’ve just been getting on with a job – caring for other people or keeping them safe.
“Perhaps they’ve given up their own time at the heart of a community to achieve remarkable things with their kindness.
“Whoever they are, we want to say a special thank you for all these people who have gone above and beyond.”
Mr George said he hoped the special dining experience would be able to be held in June.
He urged anyone who knows of someone who deserves a treat to nominate them on the website before the end of May.
All you need to do to nominate someone is explain in up to 200 words why you think they deserve a treat.
