The Chinese restaurant will be closed for further cleaning and sanitizing until later this month.

A Richmond Chinese restaurant has closed its doors this week after a worker tested positive for COVID-19.

In a notice, Kirin Seafood Restaurant says the employee at their Richmond location, 7900 Westminster Hwy, was tested positive on Dec. 7.

The chain restaurant closed their Richmond location immediately to allow for “thorough cleaning and sanitizing by a third party,” reads the notice.

All workers who may have been in close contact with that person have been asked to self-quarantine.

The restaurant anticipates to re-open on Dec. 20.
