NORWALK, CT — A new Popeye's restaurant has been proposed for Westport Avenue in Norwalk, which would be the popular Cajun-style chicken chain's second site in the city, reported The Hour.

If approved, the new restaurant would be at 480 Westport Ave., which is currently vacant but in the past housed a Burger King. A McDonald's across the street about a block away.

The proposal includes sprucing up the site, and it must be approved by the Zoning Commission to move forward.

Popeye's first Norwalk restaurant is on Connecticut Avenue near a Chick-fil-A, a Wendy's, a Starbucks and a Burger King.
